Working with a company called Foxconn based in Tucheng District, New Taipei, Taiwan (the worlds lardest electronics contract manufacturer (based on revenues) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foxconn

The idea of google glass is to start forwarding technology from ‘hand held’ devices to “hands free” in this case in the form of glasses/ head wear giving the user direct and constant view of the display.  The Audience base of this product will predominantly be the 1st world countries, at least until the technology becomes cheaper and more versatile.

The thing that Interests me the most about such a project is that Asia being the power house of modern day electronics will become a big competitor to Google.  As google is not directly an Asia based company they do however rely on large contract firm like Foxconn to manufacture and make such projects possible.

With competition already emerging from companies such as the Tokyo based “Telepathy” which are already developing their own variant of the “Google glass” the future has some major technological advances regarding innovative, portable and affordable devices.

This kind of technology hold some great possibilities.  Amazing things could be achieved because of investigation into nature to recreate something that out performs our current standard of technology to an unthinkable level.
