Project Name: Ningbo Museum of History
Design Concept: Employing an old tradition of using materials that were discarded after disasters like typhoons and earthquakes, but on a much bigger scale.
Because he’s used pre-used materials, the building already looks aged, almost ancient. This technique also allows for small mistakes in the construction like crooked bricks to become part of the finished structure.
I like this building because of the above reasons and because it’s not what comes to mind when you think of modern Chinese Architecture.
