1) Savage chair

Savage chair is a mass manufactured plastic products base on Jae Seajung Oh’s idea of ‘savage chair’ and ‘jute side table’.

It is made from natural fiber material jute cover the original object ob plastic and the other matrials to create a combination of the structure. The final object still showw how original they were before the users. Therefore let the users feel how they communicateto each other to create a harmony of the objects.

I personally like the way he brought the new life for the disposal object, it is abstractive, friendly environment and artistic.

2) Sandwich phone

The mobile phone contain 3 layer, each of them is rotated 360 degrees, there are phone, phone, camera transforms.

This concept idea is interesing, I think it is another developed form of doublelayer mobile phone. I think if it ismultipurpose smart assistant will be better. Extra device for medical use, special design equipment, etc.

3) Pouring light

Making from plastic and LED light.Yeeonwoo present a simple form of a human’s action, pouring, and tranferred it into a functional use of light with the fantasy factor, pouring the light.

In this design, there are the movement, organic and direction of principles and element of design.

4) Phone pen

Phone pen is adesign that combine the touch pen and smart phone together, by attaching the ‘Digital Lighting Sensor’ at the corner of the phone. Therefore the smartphone could be used as a touch pen or even a mouse.

The design look futuristic, however I thinkthe phonepen need more. It still be depended on the batteries, limited usetime and look too big for the general pen, hard to handle orcontrol.

5) Listen to your hand

The pupose of thi multi fraer tray desk is show how the human make the relationship with initimate things in space. Whenever a tray is closed the other one will be opened simultaneously if the compartments are in converstion with another.

This design is an example of interactive design. It is very geometric, abstractive idea. But I think this one is suitable for a gallery or an art exhibition rather than the daily use.

6) Jute site table

Jute site table is a mass manufactured plastic products base on Jae Seajung Oh’s idea of ‘savage chair’ and ‘jute side table’.

Like its brother, savage chair. Jute site table is made from wrapping jute fibre material on the diposal object of humam. The purpose of it is show the people the different perspective of the massive product.

Inmy opinion it is a nice table .

7) Jungle bookmark

With the nature inspiration, Kwanghoon made the natural influenced bookmark from the thin metal, flexible metal with different colour.

This design is simple elegant and I think it will make a style for the personal libaries, wild life, or could be sienfiction, etc.

8) Eco Urinal

The design is a simple geometrical structure, combine both toilet and bath tub. The water is used for washinghand, alsobeusedfor flushing. The bath tub and the toilet is seperated by a glass piece. So the user’s view will be secured.

This design is good, very realistic, it save water and the space, especially in the mega city. The only weak point is it is not equalize the gender’s right. They should create a version for the female too.

9) Button Stool

Base on the idea of the X threat cover the button. The stool is made from wood, and interconneted together via X cross without using any fastener, it is very strong and stable.

I think this design is not too distintive, because the structure is quite popular. But the idea of present is too cute, and suitable for the school’s uses.

10) Piano Stairs

This is a public interactive project, the sensors and many high technology tools are combined, install at the stairs. The idea is when people walk on thestair they willcreate their own symphony.

This design is a perfect solution for the countries, societies, that face high rate of self suicide as South Korea. I think those interactive design could reduce the stress and make the life much better. This also a good idea, if some street artist could use those interactive design to ferform their art.

  1. Base on the data, I gather, I realize that the Korean is catching up and may surpass their neighbor, Japanese in their competition. I saw a lot of industrial design in Korea. However the Japanese still have their special own style, Next, 10 Japanese design, you will be stunned by the way they design.
