Taipei 101

Lead Designer: C.Y.Lee



Rationale: Taipei 101 incorporates traditional Chinese building philosophy by resembling the material of bamboo, persistent and flexible, while the inclusion of high tech materials allows for a transparent effect to be made, complimenting the harmony of Taiwan’s natural environment and Taipei 101. Taipei 101 was constructed to serve as a multi use building as well as an icon for tourism.


Where is it designed for? Taiwan, the city of Taipei

What country or market is it targeting?

Taipei 101 appeals to a number of markets, such as an up market consumer with several high quality stores inside, a high quality residential market and also as a focal point for the cities tourism.
