Week 2 Part 3 – Photographs


A Chinese jar with the common landscape design feature on the jar.


A statue of the idol praised in Tibet and China. The gold and grand design of this makes it very attractive to the eye.


This is a design of a Chinese libation cup with the squirrels and grapevines included by early Chinese designers symbolising fertility and good wishes.



This Chinese chair is from the Qing dynasty in the 18th century. It is decorated with scenes of the birthday of the Queen Mother of the West.


This is a scholar’s rock found in a wall or ceiling of a cave and seen as an artwork by the creative force of Nature.
