Asian Based Design Project Four

Part 2 – BCHO Architects – Camerata Music Studio

BCHO was founded in 1993 in Seoul in Korea by architect ByoungSoo Cho. The company has created many remarkable structures throughout it’s existance. One of it’s most noted being the Camerata Music Studio in Korea. The building takes advantage of the natural light coming into area and is finished in a modern glass and wood combination.

The main focus of the design was to create an aesthetically pleasing and acoustically sound space for LP records to be listened to. The client wanted to remain nameless but uses the space for listening to music.

The studio also triples as a residency and gallery, as well as being a music studio.
